An sweet earthy, balsam, lavendar aromatic gum resin.  Noted as the closest relative to Myrrh. 

King Solomon regarded opoponax as one of the "noblest" of all incense gums.

The commiphora guidotti tree produces a resin which 'leaks' out from the bark solidifying into “tears”.  It is available in various grades, which depends on the time of harvesting and what part of the tree it is taken from.  The resin is then hand-sorted for quality.

Known to guard against negative influences, strengthen the senses, to increase awareness and intuition.
